Can You Buy Really Cheap MP3 Players?

0

When they first came out, I really thought that iPod MP3 players were just a passing fad. There were no low cost MP3 players at that point, and I didn’t understand why it made more sense to get them than to just get a portable CD player. Even when the first low cost MP3 players started to come out, I still discounted them. I hadn’t thought downloading mp3s online would ever become a legitimate thing, you see.

In some ways, I am pleased that I waited a while. Only a couple years ago, cheap MP3 players were very low quality. A typical cheap MP3 player would only be capable of storing a couple CDs, and it would be manufactured out of substandard parts. For about 50 dollars, you could get a low cost MP3 player that might – just might – last for a year.

Needless to say, MP3 players have come a long way now. Even the most high priced digital music players are much cheaper than they used to be, and the low cost MP3 players are just as good as a high quality ones were a year or two ago. The cheapest MP3 players can contain several albums at this point, and you can usually pick one up for less than 50 dollars. I think this that is a bargain.

Of course, now realise that this technology is becoming the standard, I have thought about investing in something a little bit better. I had wanted to get cheap MP3 players just so that I could trade songs back and forth with friends, but if it is going to be become my primary way of listening to music, I would rather have something a little higher quality. I have done some research, but I haven’t made up my mind yet. After all, there is a new MP3 player coming out virtually every week!
